Mullum privacy policy
Early-access trial version
Last updated: 1 November 2026.
Mullum is run by Think Unthinkable Pty Ltd, Australia ("we"). This policy explains what personal information we collect for the Mullum early-access trial, why, where it is kept, and your choices. Mullum is for people aged 18 and over. We will update this policy as Mullum develops, and your Mullum Bot will tell you in the chat when we do.
Questions or requests: hello@mullum.ai
What we collect
When you sign up:
- your name, nickname, mobile number and email address;
- your Telegram account's chat id, so we can route your messages to your Mullum Bot.
If you register interest but aren't on the early-access list yet, we keep your name, mobile number and email address (if you gave one) so we can contact you when a place is available.
When you use your Mullum Bot:
- your conversations with it, including files, photos and voice messages you send;
- what you ask it to remember, and reminders or tasks you set;
- emails you send or forward to your Mullum Bot's own email address. These may include other people's details, so please only forward emails you are entitled to share.
We also keep basic records to run the service, such as when your agent was set up, which version of Mullum it runs, and how much it is used.
Please don't send passwords, or bank, card or health details. If you choose to tell your Mullum Bot sensitive information, such as about your health, you agree to us handling it to help you, as this policy describes.
Why we use it
- To check you're on the early-access list and confirm it's you.
- To give you your own Mullum Bot and let it help you: answer, remember, remind and act on your instructions.
- To contact you about the trial, in the chat or by email.
- To keep Mullum secure, prevent misuse, and fix problems.
- To improve Mullum. During the trial, the Mullum team may review conversations to improve Mullum.
We don't sell your information or use it for advertising. We don't use your conversations to train AI models.
We only send you factual messages about your account and the trial. We won't send you marketing unless you agree, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Your Mullum Bot uses AI
Your Mullum Bot is an AI agent. To answer you, it sends your messages, and what it needs from its memory, to AI services that process them on our behalf. When it searches the web for you, it sends your search to a web search service. These services may use the information only to provide their service to us. AI can be wrong, so check anything important.
Mullum doesn't make decisions about you by computer that significantly affect your rights. The automated steps it takes, such as checking the early-access list or applying a daily usage limit, affect only your use of the trial.
Where it is stored, and who else handles it
Your agent, its storage and our records are kept in Singapore. Your agent and its storage are separate from everyone else's.
We use service providers to run Mullum: hosting and databases, website and network protection, email delivery, AI processing and web search. They handle your information only to provide their services to us. Hosting and storage are in Singapore. Some providers are based in, or process information in, other countries: the United States (email delivery, AI processing, web search and network protection) and Switzerland (our support mailbox).
You chat with your Mullum Bot in Telegram. Telegram handles your messages under its own privacy policy (telegram.org/privacy). We can't delete messages from Telegram, but you can delete the chat in Telegram.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Keeping it safe
- Your name, nickname, mobile number and email address are stored encrypted.
- Each agent can reach only its own storage.
- When you send a message, our front door holds an encrypted copy only until your agent takes it.
- Our logs don't record your name, mobile number or messages.
- Only the people running Mullum can reach our systems, and they see only what they need to run it, such as your nickname.
If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you in the chat and say what you can do.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your information while you're in the trial.
Ask your Mullum Bot to forget something and it is removed from its memories: your Mullum Bot can no longer see or use it. Removed memories stay in your agent's storage, unreadable by your Mullum Bot, until you delete your account.
To leave the trial and delete your information, send /delete in the chat. We'll ask you to confirm with a button. When it's done, we'll tell you in the chat. We then:
- remove your agent and its separate storage, including your conversations, everything it remembered and everything it removed;
- erase your name, nickname, mobile number, email address and Telegram chat id from our records;
- end your chat's link to your agent.
Copies in our providers' backups are kept for a short time (up to 30 days), then overwritten. We keep only an anonymous record: your agent's number, the dates it was set up and deleted, and which versions of Mullum it ran on. Your agent's own email address is retired and never given to anyone else.
If the trial ends, we'll tell you how your information will be handled, and delete it unless you agree otherwise.
Seeing and correcting your information
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at hello@mullum.ai. We'll answer within 30 days. There's no charge. We may need to confirm it's you first.
Questions and complaints
If you're worried about how we've handled your information, email hello@mullum.ai. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: www.oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992.
